With 100 per cent crowd capacity now allowed at the MCG, Marvel Stadium and GMHBA Stadium, it’s time to get back to AFL live action at your favourite ground.

So, what’s on the AFL live agenda for the first week of the 2022 season?
A rematch of the 2021 Toyota AFL Grand Final will kick things off as reigning Premiers Melbourne unfurl their flag and take on the Western Bulldogs at the MCG in a Wednesday night showpiece.
Carlton and Richmond then resume their traditional Thursday night Round One rivalry at the MCG, followed by the St Kilda vs Collingwood blockbuster at Marvel Stadium on Friday night.
Geelong will host Essendon for their annual Country Game at the MCG in a traditional Saturday afternoon timeslot of 2:10pm, and Hawthorn vs North Melbourne will round out the footy festival at the MCG on Sunday March 20 at 1:10pm.
To help you get to the game in time for the bounce (and home again afterwards) here’s where the taxi ranks are at every ground. And remember, you don’t need to jump in the first taxi in the queue. Three taxi ranks are located near the MCG and they’re a safe and efficient way to hail a 13cabs taxi:
– In front of Pullman Hotel, corner of Wellington Parade and Clarendon Street in East Melbourne.
– Outside Rod Laver Arena on Olympic Boulevard (previously known as Swan Street).
– Jolimont Terrace.

The nearest taxi rank to Marvel Stadium is located outside Car Parks A and B, adjacent to the NAB building on the Bourke Street extension. Please note, taxis are not permitted to enter any of Marvel Stadium’s Car Parks, as these are non-stopping areas, however taxis for passengers with mobility impairments are permitted entry.

On major event days, a Taxi Rank is located on Moorabool Street (directly opposite Gate 1 – Polly Farmer). This Rank is located outside of the road closures.
