The Taxi Transport Subsidy Scheme (TTSS) (is TTSS or TSS) provides subsidised taxi travel to Australian residents who are unable to use public transport because of severe or permanent disability. There are different names for the Taxi Subsidy Scheme in different states and rebate rates also vary from state to state.
At 13cabs, we specialise in assisted travel for Passengers with a disability and we support taxi subsidy schemes in every state and territory. Our Professional Drivers are all trained to ensure Passengers are safely transported to their destinations.
As a national company and community of Drivers, we proudly support community building through the Taxi Subsidy Scheme across Australia.
The TSS is called different things in each state or territory and rebate amounts and conditions also vary from state or territory. For example in Victoria, the Taxi Subsidy Scheme is called the Multi-Purpose Taxi Program (MPTP) and in Western Australia it is called The Taxi User Subsidy Scheme (TUSS). No matter where you are in Australia, 13cabs accepts Taxi Subsidy Scheme users. With Australia’s largest fleet and specially trained Drivers, we are Australia’s top provider to Taxi Subsidy Scheme customers.
In Victoria, the taxi subsidy scheme is called the Multi-Purpose Taxi Program (MPTP). The MPTP assists with the travel needs of people with accessibility and mobility needs by offering subsidised taxi fares to members, who get 50 per cent off the total fare, up to $60, with some restrictions.
To book with 13cabs simply quote your card number when you make your booking via the app, phone or website.
If you are hailing a 13cab off the street, please ask the Driver to process your MPTP card and apply the discount. Please note you must be travelling in the taxi when the MPTP card is used. Carers and family members and friends may also travel in the taxi with you.
