Australia’s biggest taxi company, 13cabs, is offering on the spot interviews for people looking for a casual job during the busy Christmas and holiday period.
The company is holding an Open Day at its Contact Centre on October 22, from 11am-3pm at 35 Downing St, Oakleigh so people interested in working can learn more about the company and talk with existing staff.
“We know there are many university students, stay at home parents and others who want casual work over Christmas,” 13cabs Contact Centre head, Christine Gourdoulis (pictured) said.
“It’s such a busy time of year with people celebrating the festive season, so we decided to hold an open day so people looking for work can experience how we work first hand and get to know our friendly staff.
“There is some fatigue with endlessly applying for jobs online so we thought we would make it super easy for those interested in casual work.”
Ms Gourdoulis said company representatives were happy to interview people there and then, or later if that was more convenient for applicants.
She said the job – which could lead to a permanent position – involved taking calls from customers needing a 13cab and previous experience was not necessary.
At the Open Day, those interested can attend a short presentation about the work in the Contact Centre, enjoy a free BBQ and see calls being made in real time.
The Open Day will be held at the 13cabs Contact Centre from 11am-3pm at 35 Downing St in Oakleigh, and no booking is necessary.
